Business Incubator Plans The leadership of Pickens County Vision 2025 has recognized the value of bringing a Small Business Incubator to accelerate the development of new small businesses in the county. After attending workshops in Columbia, visits to two successful small business incubators in Georgia, we have recently held discussions with Tri-County Technical College which had offered to help the county with plans for a small business incubator. Ray Steck & Gerald Swietzer recently visited with Rick Cothran, Dean of Corporate & Community Education to discuss a collaborate partnership with Tri-County Technical College. Following the excellent collaborate efforts with Anderson, Oconee, & Pickens County to promote a equestrian plan benefiting all three counties, it became clear similar benefits can take place with a Business Incubator plan. This is a developing relationship and objective. We will share more progress in the next newsletter and on our website as we our plans unfold. WC-8 calls for the creation of business incubators that align entrepreneurs with university research and development, and other assets to promote businesses. WC-12 states we should support small business development and growth.
