The accomplishments by Pickens County Vision 2025, for the first three years of the Implementation process, were
shared at a news conference on Nov. 17th at the City of Pickens City Hall. Since the Plan was presented to the
community in September 2007, eleven objectives have been implemented, or are in the process of being implemented.
Most of the objectives with good progress are in the Sense of Place group. Noteworthy is the collaboration
with Anderson and Oconee counties on two objectives that will benefit all three counties. Both Anderson & Oconee
counties have Vision Plans, which were created with the help of the same community visioning consulting firm used by
Pickens County Vision 2025--Carpe Diem Community Solutions Inc.
See the accomplishments in the News section of this website.
See the Focus Group pages with links on the left of this page for updates on each of the five areas.
Since the plan conveys a time line through 2025, the Vision Partners will select the individual objectives in their theme to accomplish year by year. The Vision Partners will meet and report back to the Implementation Team their progress in meeting the objectives on a regular basis. A report will be given by the Implementation Team annually on the progress in reaching the objectives.
